As you all know, having a boat for some of us is like having the daughter you never had, she is family. So when choosing somebody to work on her, it has to be the right person. My boat needed some engine and fiberglass work, so I contacted many marine mechanical shops, and most of them did not sound right, not just the price but the attitude given by the mechanics I spoke with, made me feel that they were doing me a favor..so then I contacted Boat Work Miami and after discussing the project with Ben he make me feel I could trust him 100% with my boat “daughter”. The job was agreed on, the price was fair, the project started on time, and I was informed at all times of what was going on, furthermore Ben’s team contacted the boat manufacturer to get the right gel coat color, and when the repair was completed it looked like new. the engine maintenance was also completed to satisfaction and following the manufactured instructions. On completion I was very happy, Ben did an excellent job along with his technician, always helpful and willing to build not just his business but a relationship with his customers, I also contacted Ben afterward with some questions, he always contacted me back quickly and attended my needs. Ben’s Boat Work Miami delivers quality and he gained a customer for a long time. I will not hesitate to recommend Ben. Trustworthy, knowledgeable and dependable.

Ben and his Team have made having a Boat much more fun! I met him during an engine crisis that he resolved over a weekend and since then moved all my business over to him.
He and his team are the very best!! They take their work personally and won’t stop (even after hours) to make sure everything comes out ok.

Ben initially helped me with a pre-purchase inspection for my bowrider (2018 Glastron GT180 w/ 115hp outboard). He performed a multi-point check including engine, hull, electronics, paint, etc. He was thorough on the engine check and ran diagnostics on each cylinder and rpm history, etc. Even advised on negotiation for the purchase.
After purchase, I took the boat back to have a few things done including installing a new battery charger, auto-bilge pump and shore power connection and repairing the bimini and speedometer. Ben is super thorough - a very good all around boat workshop - and even helps with after care support.

The company I work for runs our boats hard and long, typically they don't go into service unless there is an issue. We have been working in the Miami are since early August, and one of our Yamaha engines was sputtering and barely working for the first few hours of the day. Fortunately, we have twins, so we could scrape by and continue to work. I called Ben on Thursday and arranged for him to meet us at the Pelican Harbor boat ramp early Monday morning.
Ben came out for a field test and witnessed the engine issue we we're having. He pulled the boat, took it to the shop and by late afternoon called me with the diagnosis. Besides identifying the issue, the ECU failed on the starboard engine, he was able to replace the defective computer as well as perform a thorough diagnosis on both engines, as part of the routine maintenance own both engines. Neither engine had peed in close to three years, and after performing a complete maintenance on both engines, the boat has never run better in the past five years. Both engines have more than 4000 hours and they are running like they are new.
The prices were fair, the service exceptional, and we had the boat back in the field by late Tuesday morning. Ben understood our needs to have the boat returned quickly, and he was communicating with me after hours to let me know I would have the boat the following morning. While the company I work for is not local, we do a lot of work in the Miami area, and any time I have an issue with one of our boats, Ben and the team at Boat Works Miami will be the first call I make.

I recently had some essential work done on my boat and I couldn't be happier with the results. The team there is top-notch, and they took care of everything I needed.
